Gaming laptops with discrete NVIDIA graphics
Five 16-inch machines, from an RTX 3060 entry tier to a 13th-generation Core i7 with RTX 4060 and DDR5.
Read the full introduction
All five models here are 16-inch 1920×1200 machines with discrete NVIDIA graphics and Windows 11. The tiers are defined by the processor and GPU pairing: i7-12650H with RTX 3060, i7-13620H with RTX 4060 and DDR5, i9-12900H with RTX 3060, and a 13th-generation Core i9 whose graphics card Vidar does not publish.
The fifth is different in kind — the Triptych 16 is a triple-display productivity laptop with integrated graphics that sits in this collection because of its 16-inch chassis class. If you are buying for games, choose from the four Vortex models; if you are buying for three windows on one machine, the Triptych is the one you want.

What separates these machines
- The GPU decides the class. RTX 3060 is the entry tier here, RTX 4060 the newer one; no frame rates are published for any model.
- DDR5 and a 13th-generation CPU (Vortex 16R) cost more but date more slowly than the DDR4 entry tier.
- More cores (i9-12900H, 14 cores) help compiling, simulation and streaming more than they help frame rates.
- Refresh rate is unpublished on every model in this collection. If it matters to you, it is a question for the quotation, not an assumption.
- All five are 16-inch machines; treat them as desk-first laptops and ask for weight before planning to carry one daily.
Questions about gaming laptops
Are these laptops in stock?
No stock position is published. Every listing is built to order, and Vidar publishes no quantity available. Delivery is confirmed on the quotation.
Can I upgrade the GPU later?
No. Laptop graphics are soldered to the board. Choose the GPU tier you need at order; that decision is fixed for the life of the machine.
Why is no refresh rate listed?
Vidar does not publish one for these models. We could guess from the model class, but a guess is not a specification, so refresh rate is confirmed in writing before purchase.
Which one should I pick for creative work rather than gaming?
The Vortex 16R (i7-13620H, RTX 4060, DDR5) or the Vortex 16 Pro (14-core i9-12900H). For video timelines across two large screens, the Studio 16 Duo in the workstation collection is a better fit.
