The Vortex 16R is the current-generation step in the range: an Intel Core i7-13620H from the 13th generation, an NVIDIA RTX 4060 and DDR5 memory up to 64 GB, on the same 16-inch 1920×1200 panel as the rest of the Vortex family. Storage runs to 4 TB and Windows 11 Pro is standard.
The meaningful differences from the Vortex 16 are the newer CPU, the newer GPU and the move from DDR4 to DDR5. Those raise the price band, and they are the parts that date slowest in a gaming laptop. If you are buying a machine to keep for several years, this is the specification to start from.
Refresh rate, battery, ports and weight are unpublished. Vidar publishes one listing for this platform, so there is no second source to cross-check those figures against before quotation.
For buyers who want the newer platform and DDR5 now rather than the lowest entry price: gaming, 3D work and heavier creative software.
DDR5 is the newer memory generation and the platform it comes with also carries a newer CPU and GPU. We do not publish percentage gains; the honest summary is that the 16R is a newer platform at a higher price band.
Refresh rate is not published by Vidar. Resolution is 1920×1200; the refresh rate is confirmed with the written quotation rather than assumed from the model class.
Vidar publishes memory and storage as option ladders; the three pairings shown are the advertised ones. Any other combination is confirmed at quote.
Windows 11 Pro is stated in Vidar's specification for this model, alongside the RTX 4060 and i7-13620H.
