The Vortex 16 Pro changes one thing that matters for CPU-bound work: it uses an Intel Core i9-12900H, a 14-core part from the 12th generation, rather than the Core i7 found in the entry Vortex. Graphics stay at the RTX 3060, the panel is a 16-inch 1920×1200 IPS unit, and memory runs to 64 GB with SSD options to 2 TB.
That balance suits jobs where the processor, not the GPU, is the bottleneck: compiling, simulation, compression, virtual machines, audio rendering and heavy multitasking. It is also a capable gaming machine, but the reason to choose it over the Vortex 16 is core count.
Refresh rate, battery, ports, weight and model code are unpublished. Windows 11 and a fingerprint reader are stated by Vidar; those details are confirmed on quotation along with the rest.
For CPU-heavy work that still needs a portable machine: software builds, analysis, audio and video rendering, virtual labs.
It has more cores than the i7-12650H and is a higher-tier part, so CPU-heavy work has more headroom. We do not publish benchmark percentages; the difference that matters is core count and tier.
That is how Vidar configures this model. If the newer GPU matters more than core count, the Vortex 16R pairs an i7-13620H with RTX 4060 instead.
The advertised pairings are 32/1 TB, 64/1 TB and 32/2 TB. A 64 GB plus 2 TB build may be possible but is confirmed at quote rather than assumed.
IPS is the panel technology Vidar states. It generally indicates wider viewing angles than TN, but colour coverage, brightness and refresh rate are not published, so no further claim is made.
