Most machines in this range rely on integrated graphics. The Vidar Perform 15 does not: it pairs an Intel Core i7-1165G7 with a discrete NVIDIA MX450, and adds a backlit keyboard, fingerprint login and Windows 11 Pro on a 15.6-inch screen. Memory runs to 32 GB and storage to 1 TB according to the option lists.
The MX450 is an entry discrete GPU. It is the right choice for work that needs GPU acceleration without a gaming chassis — photo editing, 2D CAD drawings, some video transcoding, engineering coursework with GPU-enabled simulation. It is not a gaming card, and no frame rates are claimed here.
Vidar lists this model in its student category despite the dedicated GPU, which matches the way universities now specify machines by software requirement rather than by product class. Resolution, battery, ports and weight are unpublished and confirmed on quote.
For buyers who need a discrete GPU in an ordinary laptop shape: design coursework, photo work, light CAD and GPU-accelerated analysis.
The MX450 is an entry discrete GPU, not a gaming card. Some older or lighter titles will run; the Vidar Vortex range with RTX graphics is the right choice for gaming, and we publish no frame-rate figures.
It is the platform Vidar offers with the MX450 in this chassis. It is a four-core, eight-thread part; the newer 12th- and 13th-generation options appear in the Vortex gaming models instead.
Vidar lists 8, 16 and 32 GB options and storage from 128 GB to 1 TB. The three pairings shown are the advertised ones; others are confirmed at quote.
The standard layout is US, with a second keyboard language as a paid option. Confirm the exact layout on your quotation.
